"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Lol XD. Well, the emotes on the side are the overall mood of your comment. To insert emotes into the actual comment, you have to type the code for the emote between :'s. For example, to achieve a penguin, you type : tux : (without the spaces). Like so: Ta da~!
